I couldn’t resist a little post about Burger King’s plan to re-launch their breakfast offering.
I like the way they are trying to use product quality as a differentiator versus Mc Donald’s, which is no hard feat. They have invested in superior product, such as flame-grilling and Aberdeen Angus beef. We went to a Burger King the other week, and it was actually not bad at all.
Now they are turning to breakfast. Mc Donald’s breakie features a "flat sausage meat patty" (yuk). Burger King will offer a premium, coiled Cumberland sausage in a buttered bread roll. And they’ll also have a sandwich with flame-grilled British Bacon.
And I do like the tag-line of the poster for the sausage sandwich: "Cereal killer"!
