If you're like me, you HATE those bloody stupid things on websites that make you type in a load of gobbeledygook to prove you are a human. The one on Ticketmaster is especially annoying as it now makes you type in 2 sets of symbols. And they are impossible to read. I mean look at this thing below – what the hell does it say?!

[Note to self for future post – Ticketmaster is a s**t customer experience].

Well, thank heavens for the guys at Solve Media. They really have done what their name says and solved a media problem. They also hated the "captcha" systems as they are called. They reckon they take on average 14 seconds to complete. And piss people off.

They have come up with a solution that is BRILLIANT and SIMPLE. With their system, you type in a phrase. And what makes it really clever is that this can be a phrase linked to your brand message! The things takes 1/2 the time to do….

…. and they reckon it has 12 times the brand recall of banner ads.

There is a great video that sells the idea "in 101 seconds" here.

The only gripe I have is that the system is not clever enough to figure out all by itself what our brand is about. The verification words you type in when signing up for our blog are not yet relevant to the brandgym.

In conclusion, Solve Media show that branding can be simple. And brilliant. Find a real issue, then create a great solution, and market the hell out of it.
